Arrangør: Jernverket Eidsfoss, Vestfoldmuseene Hvor: Skolestua Dato: 17.09 On the 17th of September there will be a special tour of the Exhibition about Rakel Seweriin. 30 years after her death on September 17, 1995. Rakel Seweriin (born Solberg) grew up at Eidsfoss Railway Station in the traditional environment of Eidsfoss works. She became an active Labour Party politician at an early age and continued this career even when she became a wife and mother. She was Minister of Social Affairs in the Labour Party government 1952-53, and sat in the Storting for four terms and was an important voice for the Labour Party until her death. Hear more about her life on this Special tour of the Exhibition: “Rakel Seweriin. From Eidsfoss Station to the King’s Table”. Arrangør: Vestfoldmuseene Hvor: Eidsfoss Hovedgård Dato: 28.09 Familyday at Eidsfoss Hovedgaard Wood burning as an energy and heating source, as well as the coziness of a fire both outdoors and indoors, will be the focus of this day. There will be a firewood stacking competition and a treasure hunt. In addition, plenty of outdoor games will be available for the whole family to enjoy. The café will be open, and you can buy food to grill yourself over the fire pit.
