In ‘Bakgata’ (The Back Alley), behind the factory by the car park in the middle of town, you’ll find the galleries and exhibition spaces of some of the local artists.
Harald Oredam’s works can be viewed outside his gallery. Oredam is one of the country’s most renowned sculptors and is, amongst other things, the creator of the sculpture ‘Jordmusikk’, which stands outside the Oslo Concert Hall.
Painters Helge Midtgarden, Evy Hermansen (Gallery E.H.) and Wenche Rimeslåtten also have galleries here. Call for private viewing. The galleries in the back alley (Bakgata) are open during event weekends, some sundays or if the signs are out.
