For many years, the Vestfold municipality museums (Vestfoldmuseene) have been a key supporter of the work to develop Eidsfoss. Their activities range from organising collaborative events on site to creating exhibitions, such as “Til Elise”, which you can see at the Old Eidsfos Tavern, and “Rakel Seweriin”, which is on display in the old schoolhouse. The museums also have a local office in the old schoolhouse at Hauane.
Baking waffles in the old Eidsfoss oven, tin casting, exhibitions and talks are among the activities the Vestfold Museums have been involved in. Plans for thethe Ironworks Museum (or the Oven Museum, as many call it), as well as the Manor (Hovedgården) and the surrounding historic garden, are being drawn up in close collaboration with the foundations EIS (Eidsfoss Industrial History Collections) and Hovedgården.
