Lake Bergsvannet’s main inlet is Kopstadelva, a river originating in lake Vikevannet to the south. It flows further into lake Eikeren through river Eid. The lake is a part of the Eiker watercourse, which drains most of Hof region. It is a popular destination for canoeing, and you will find several camping sites at the island Bjørkøya across the lake from Eidsfoss church.

At Eidsfoss, just across from Gata (the Street), is the public bathing place Gatalanda. The lake is, due to its size, often warmer than its big brother Eikern. You find both pike and big perch in lake Bergsvannet.
