Tour of the Exhibition “Rakel Seweriin”

On August 14th, you have the opportunity to join Vestfold Museums’ curator, Hilde Woxen Stormark, on a tour of the exhibition about Rakel Seweriin!

Rakel Seweriin (born Solberg) grew up at Eidsfoss Railway Station in the environment of Eidsfoss ironworks. She became an active Labour Party politician at an early age and continued this career even when she became a wife and mother. She was Minister of Social Affairs in the Labour Party government 1952-53, and sat in the Parliament for four terms and was an important voice for the Labour Party until her death.
