The building was originally constructed as a smithy, where equipment for the ironworks, charcoal burning and mining operations was produced and repaired. Later, the workshop was used to make wooden moulds for casting furnace plates.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Bettumverkstedet is a year-round workshop and arts and crafts shop, with its retail outlet open from Easter to Christmas. Here, two creative and cheerful ladies are busy knitting and weaving.
